2 DAY COURSE
Barbara Roots has been teaching dressmaking for many years, primarily with Kent Adult Education. She is extremely knowledgable, patient and kind. You will benefit enormously from her instruction as enjoying the lovely company of others.
In this class you'll learn to create a toile (practice piece) for your garment to adjust the fit. You'll learn construction methods relevant to your pattern as well as learning the methods being used by others in the class for their patterns.
You will need to bring a simple pattern or one suitable to your sewing level. Please bring fabric for making your toile (calico, cotton voile, old sheet etc) use something that is similar to the weight that your final garment would be made with.
Please bring your sewing kit - scissors, pins etc. Sewing machines are provided.
